A son of Salayea has expressed serious disappointment in Electoral District#5, Lofa County, representative. Augustine B. Chiewolo for poorly representing the people of Zorzor and Salayea Districts at the lower house in the 55th national legislature.

Speaking to our correspondent in Gbarnga City, Mr . Kolubah stated that, since the acendenecy of Hon. Augustine Chiewolo at the higher seat of the District, citizens of Zorzor and Salayea Districts are yet to see the honorable initiative within the district, when it comes to  developmental activities.

Hon. Chiewolo who campaigned in the 2023 presidential and legislative election, told citizens of the District that if elected, he will make sure, to improve the health sector, education system of the district and proper representation of the citizenry of Electoral District#5, Lofa County.

Some thing Alphanso Kolubah said the honorable has paid dead ear to upon taking office in January of this year.

“It’s so sad that our people in the district elected a man who is not in their interest, but rather being in his own interest, for God sake, how many of our brothers and sisters in the district are now benefiting from Hon. Chiewolo when it comes to scholarship or tuition aid in both grade school and other higher learning institutions across the country, especially for our people who are from the district” said Alphanso Kolubah.

Hon. Chiewolo who succeeded former representative of Electoral District#5, Lofa County, Hon. Beyan Howard has been criticized by some citizens of the district for not doing the needful things for the electorates as he promised during the campaign period.

When asked Mr. Alphanso Kolubah , If he sees Hon. Chiewolo making progress within the district for the next six years, he started that, Hon. Chiewolo will be the worst lawmaker within the history of  Electoral District#5, Lofa County, evidenced by his first one hundred days plus achievements in office.

Mr. Kolubah who is one of the advocates of District #5, Lofa County, said he will continue to pressurize the honorable man until he sees the right things being done by Hon. Augustine Chiewolo in Zorzor and Salayea District.

Recently, some supporters of. Hon. Chiewolo were defending him, that he built toilets for the market women of Salayea and constructed one hand pump within the District, something Mr. Kolubah said, it was shame and disgraceful on the part of the honorable for his supporters to be defending him for erecting three rooms toilet and one hand pump within hundred days plus in office, why students in the district are finding it difficult to go to school.

Hon. Augustine Chiewolo who won with over 2,000 votes on October 10, 2023, presidential and legislative elections, seems to be on the wrong path, when it comes to developmental activities within the two Districts.

He also mentioned that, honorable. Chiewolo is not able to steer the affair of the district, evidenced by his recent poor representation of the district at the house of representatives.

Mr. Alphanso Kolubah wants, Hon. Chiewolo do the needful for the citizens of the  Districts, which comprised Zorzor and Salayea Districts.

He told news man, if Hon. Chiewolo cannot do the right things for the people of Zorzor and Salayea Districts, he will not stop flagging the issues, until Hon. Augustine Chiewolo listens to the cry of the citizenry in the district.

The Lofa County native told Image TV that his critical stance on the issue in the district doesn’t mean he is against Hon. Chiewolo, but the right thing must be done.

He narrative that, if the lawmaker do what our people elected him for, we will appreciate the honorable man, but for now we are calling on him to listen to the masses who stood in the rain and the sun to give him the power by electing him to serve as representative for Zorzor and Salayea Districts.
