
Monrovia, Liberia – February 14, 2025– A massive fire outbreak has reduced a woodshop to ashes and severely damaged several nearby buildings in Kpanyon’s Town, along the R.I.A. Highway leaving families heartbroken and struggling to recover from the tragedy.
Eyewitnesses say the fire started late in the afternoon, quickly engulfing the woodshop, which served as a major source of livelihood for the community. Strong winds fueled the flames, causing half of the surrounding buildings to be destroyed before firefighters could contain the inferno.
Residents watched helplessly as years of hard work, homes, and belongings were consumed by the blaze. Many families are now left without shelter, expressing frustration and despair over their sudden loss.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire, while relief efforts are being mobilized to assist those affected.
