Monrovia, Liberia – February 20, 2025 – Nurses at Fedility Health-Care Center have staged a peaceful protest demanding the payment of their salaries and benefits, which have been delayed for over eight months.

The healthcare workers, who have remained dedicated despite financial struggles, say they can no longer endure the hardship caused by the prolonged non-payment of wages. Many expressed frustration over their inability to provide for their families while continuing to serve the public.

“We have been working tirelessly to care for patients, yet we have gone eight months without pay. This is unacceptable,” one protesting nurse stated.

The demonstration was peaceful, with nurses urging hospital management and relevant authorities to address their concerns immediately. They warned that if their demands are not met soon, they may be forced to escalate their actions.

Hospital officials have yet to release a statement regarding the situation, but tension is rising as nurses insist on swift intervention to resolve the crisis.

More details to follow as the situation unfolds.
