
BONG-As the government of Liberia tackles the hack in the prices of rice on the market, Representative. Josiah Melvin Cole of bong county has presented over two hundred bags of 25kg rice to several old folks in his district.
Presenting the rice in Gbarnga City, when scores of old people gathered, Hon. Cole stated that it was his own way of identifying with the older folks, especially in times of economy hardship.
the Bong County district #3 lawmaker who many of the citizens refer to as talk and do, stated that the initiative started in his first term , during the regime of former president. George M. Weah, he narrated that, his latest effort is to appreciate the people for choosing him to serve them.
The distribution covered over three hundred old folks from the district who are finding it difficult to put food on their tables.
Image TV has gathered information, that this is not the first of it kind for the CDC lawmaker to provide rice for elderly people within his district.
It can be recalled in 2023, Hon. Cole presented medical supplies that cost over two hundred thousand United States Dollars to the administration of C.B Dunbar Hospital in Gbarnga City, Bong County.
The Bong County tough talking lawmaker said he will continue to give back to the people of District#3 and Bong County at large.
Receiving the rice, some of the beneficiaries, extolled Rep. Josiah Melvin Cole for identifying with them at this kind of time, where they are in need of food.
The old folks said it was not the first time for their son and leader to surprised them by giving rice, something they said was timely thereby calling on other leaders of the county to follow the good foot print of representative Cole.
