Bong County, Liberia – February 2025 – Super Bongese Radio, an award-winning community station renowned for its impactful programming, has secured a 24-hour electricity supply after installing an advanced solar panel system.
For years, the station has been a reliable voice for the community, addressing both local and national issues. However, unreliable electricity has posed challenges to its operations. To overcome this, station manager Samuel Kplaiwru announced that the management team invested in a large-scale solar energy system to guarantee uninterrupted broadcasting.

“These new solar panels will keep us on air even during power outages, ensuring that our listeners always have access to vital information and entertainment,” Kplaiwru said.
The cutting-edge solar power system will not only enhance Super Bongese Radio’s broadcast consistency but also promote sustainability by reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Community members have welcomed the move, celebrating it as a major step toward energy independence and a commitment to keeping the people informed at all times.
