Students of Baryata Elementary School in Electoral District #2, Bong County, smile as friend of Joshua D.K .Better, donates forty two pieces of sitting desk to the school.

In an efforts to buttress the government of Liberia the office of friends of Joshua D.K .Better a political group in Bong County, has donated 42 pieces of sitting desks to Baryata Public school in Electoral District #2.

Making the presentation in Baryata during the week, Mr Joshua D.K. Better a representative hopeful stated that the donation was his team own way of identifying with the school going kids in other to provide a conductive learning environment.

He stated that as a former student of the institution he deems it necessary to provide sitting capacity for the students as the results of students sitting on the floor to acquire quality education.

Though the cost of the sitting desk was not disclosed by Mr. Better during the presentation of the forty two pieces of the sitting desk on the school main campus of the Baryata Public School to the administration, students and parents.

The Baryata School which operates under the government as public school is catering to more than one hundred and fifty school going kids in Baryata and its surroundings villages in other to help students of the area to acquire quality education is said to be heavily challenge.

Mr .Better stated that he was so discourage to see students using their copybooks as sitting desk to sit on it in their various classes as a mean of trying to acquire education, something that led him to quickly intervene by providing the sitting desks that allow three persons to sit on one.

“I am happy today to be here at Baryata Public School to donate sitting desks to the students, administration and parents of this noble institution where, I started my primary education, and today I want to present to you all on behalf of team Joshua D.K .Better 42 pieces of sitting desk to this historical school said Mr. Joshua D.K .Better”

Mr Better however encourages the administration and the students to observe the health protocols prescribed by the Ministry of Health and National Public Health Institute of Liberia in order to combat the COVID-19 in Liberia.

He acknowledges the administration and students of the Baryata Public School to always wear their nose masks and wash their hands as prescribed by health authorities while on campus and off campus.
Receiving the sitting desks on behalf of the institution the principal Mr. James Dolo lauded, Mr Better for the donation and terms it as timely.

Mr .Dolo said students have been sitting on the floor to acquire quality education, something he said was an embarrassment to the institution.

“On behalf of the Baryata Public school, we will like to appreciate Mr Better and his team for this kind gesture, and we are also calling on him to keep working in the interest of his former institution and other institutions in the district to improve the education sector especially Electoral District #2, in Bong County, Mr. James Dolo added”

He told our Bong county correspondent, that Mr. Better is the first aspirant to identify with the school, by providing sitting capacity for students who parents cannot afford the finance to send their children to the urban area for now to perused quality education.

Mr Dolo also used the medium to call on other aspirants that are eying the representative seat in the District to seen reason and go on their aid as the institution faced lack of challenges.
