A delegation of three women from the Embassy of Sweden in Monrovia have paid a courtesy visit to the Voice of Pleebo Radio Station as part of their Nation-wide Assessment tour to Community Radios across Liberia.

The team was headed by Program Officer at the Swedish Embassy to Liberia Mrs. Johanna Suberu Svanelind.

The visit was intended to monitor activities of registered communities radio stations that are partnering with the Association of Liberia Community Radios (ALICOR).

As part of the visit, series of conversations with management of the station, who highlighted progress made at the radio through efforts of Internews Liberia and the ALICOR.

The Swedish Embassy Program Officer Johanna Suberu Svanelind thanked Management and Staff of the Voice Of Pleebo for upholding the values and standards that a Community Radio should possess.

She called on all V.O.P journalists to continue their Services to the people of Liberia, noting that efforts of more improvements at the radio station from the Swedish government is underway.

Adding that amedia played an important role in transforming the minds of the public in terms of information dissemination.
